Alex,

I love you more today than I did yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow.

Love,
Kathy

Everytime we touch

I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me,
I still feel your touch in my dreams. (my dreams)
Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why.
Without you it's hard to survive.
'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling,
and every time we kiss, I swear I can fly
Can't you feel my heart beat fast?
I want this to last, need you by my side.
'Cause everytime we touch, I feel the static,
and everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so?
I can't let you go, want you in my life.
Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.
They wipe away tears that I cry. (I cry)
The good and the bad times, we've been through them all.
You make me rise when I fall.
'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling,
and everytime we kiss, I swear I can fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast?
I want this to last, need you by my side.
'Cause everytime we touch, I feel the static,
and everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so?
I can't let you go, want you in my life.
'Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling,
and everytime we kiss, I swear I can fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast?
I want this to last, need you by my side.

Alex and Kathy Update!

For those of you who frequent the mushy corner and wouold like an update on us, well here it is!

We left Sunny California on Wednesday morning after a very enjoyable mini vacation with two of our closest friends and lots family and other friends! I am happy to say, for those who know my unbelievable whiteness, I was able to get a little color while I was there;)! We had an absolutley amazing time in California, and we had an even more amazing time on our trip home!

Wednesday we left California at 5am. We drove through Nevada, stopped in Vegas, then through the ridiculously long and boring state of Utah. We saw so much brown we thought we were dead. LOL! We stopped near a cliff in Utah to do some tanning, it was so nice and warm outside;). We listened to some great tunes and sang our hearts out.

Our goal was to make to Boulder, Co. that evening to stay with some friends of mine, we were about 4 hours behind schedule. We made it to Grand Junction, Co. just over the Utah state line had a loveley dinner at an Olive Garden and stayed at a Super8.

The next morning we left at about 8am, after enjoying a scarce continetial breakfast provided by the generous staff of the super8. (They had coffee, and that's all that matters) We made the four hour trek to Boulder, Co. and stopped into see my dear friend Carolyn Tompkins and her baby Ella;). After a much needed time of rehydration of water and watermelon we headed back onto our long journey. We then proceeded to go an hour out of our way because there was a W where there should have been an E our directions.;) But because of that, we got to see the real life Jellystone National Park, home of Yogi Bear and Booboo too;). Once we got back ont the correct route we were excited to get out of Colorado. It was beautiful sight seeing but I don't think either of us could have handled being on Hwy 70 much longer.

Finally we arrived in Nebraska, I don't think either of us had been so happy to see fields of nothing and cow farm after cow farm. After enjoying a fun game of Mad Libs and hours of singing along to worship Cd's and a variety of music, we were also extremley worn out. We found a town that actually had something other than cows and decided to stay the night in Ogallala, NE! Ogallala had a very podunk feel to it, but it was the home of the amazing Grey Goose Lodge where we were able to find very affordable lodging, an allegedly heated pool, a coffee maker in the rooms, AND a free hot breakfast. That defenitly made our day!

We left early Friday morning determined to make it back to Evanston before the end of the day. We made through Nebraska without injury. When we entered Iowa it was absolutley lovely, no trace of cows, all green, and much closer to home;). We made it closer and closer to I-88.

We finally made it to Illinois! YAY! We were getting so tired of nothing but fields and farms. We needed some urban life! Unfortunetly, western Illinois is pretty barren, we stopped at the lustreous De kalb Oasis and shared some chinese food for dinner. We arrive in Evanston at about 9pm. So good to be home!

Of course after that we weren't really that tired, so I subjected Alex to the wonders of Xanadu! (now he thinks I'm psycho).

Saturday we went to decorate the reception hall for Bethany's wedding reception. It looked beautiful. The ceremony was absolutley beautiful and it was nice to have Alex there with me. The music was beautiful, the bride was beautiful, the chapel was beautiful! The reception was loads of fun! Alex and I had our first dance together. We danced the day away to a very talented Jazz band.

Alex moved into his apartment yesterday, it was such a wonderful feeling for both of us. I am so proud of him. He is making such a huge jump in becoming the man that he desires to be. I am so happy to have him here.;)
